about
This track was created specifically for Cuckoo's YouTube channel as an entry for the "Jamuary Challenge" contest. The idea is to use one or two pieces of shitty gear that is often overlooked or holds sentimental value to the artist. I chose the toy like Korg Monotron analog synth which is extremely cheap and basic. Also featured is a Zoom 1202 multi-effects unit which was my first piece of "real" gear I bought when I was 15 years old in 1995. It's the oldest piece of gear in my rig and I just can't bring myself to get rid of it. It sounds so bad in a great way.
